Features: startup, two options for selling products

Problems we faced: lack of a clear marketing strategy – there were many hypotheses and ideas on how to achieve high conversion, which had to be technically implemented and tested.

Startups are almost always about uncertainty. The leaders of this project did not have a clear marketing strategy. There were hypotheses that had to be implemented and tested to check their effectiveness. During the cooperation, significant changes were made to the cart, the order page and the product page. Let’s take a closer look at what the joint testing of startup marketing led to.

Product Page Optimization: about key elements for sales

To encourage the user to purchase products on the product page, we implemented the following attributes:

  • Three options for the quantity of the product. The user can purchase some products in quantities of 1, 2 or 3 packages.
  • Two purchase options. Some products can be purchased one-time or with a monthly subscription. Options for the second option:
    • no minimum subscription period;
    • discounts are applied automatically;
    • you can pause the subscription at any time.

About the Shopping Cart Optimization

If no products have been added to the cart yet, the user is prompted to add popular items or view the catalog. Other cart functions for effective sales:

  • Gift. When purchasing for a certain amount, the user receives a gift. We have implemented a special block where you can see how much amount is missing to receive a gift.
  • Discounts and changes the quantity of the product. When the user changes the number of items in the cart, discounts are applied automatically.

About the payment page

  • Secure online payment methods. We have integrated payment via Paypal, Klarna, Invoice, advance payment or bank card.
  • Saving user information. You can save information about delivery and payment method to make future purchases in a few clicks.
  • Recommended products. This is an important option for business, as it helps to get additional sales. Featured products are displayed in a special block on the payment page. Such a feature helps increase online sales.
