Movember: website with a mustache and cool features

Movember is a popular annual event. Its essence is that men do not shave during November. On this site they can post photos of their results. Each visitor can vote for any participant, giving an unlimited number of candidates the vote — a like. Let’s look at the page’s features that our developers implemented.

Goals And Tasks

The task was to develop a platform where users could take a photo, upload it to the site and, after moderation, publish it. The main feature of the site is that all operations take place directly on the page, without the need for additional tools for uploading photos. Other features:

• automatic photo check-up tools;
• effective content control.

The site development was carried out according to layouts from Figma, which allowed to achieve pixel accuracy and ensure high quality of the interface on all devices.

You can search for photos of participants in the action from all over the world. With the help of filters, it is easy to do quickly. In addition, the «share membership card» function is available. The users can send the profile he likes via mail, instant messenger, and other services to friends. They can also vote in the form of a like for their favorite profile.

Post-moderation tools and cross-platform

The developers have implemented post-moderation tools in the admin panel. The specialist will be able to view the photos that users have uploaded for their relevance to the event. In addition, the site is cross-platform. That is, you can upload a photo to a page from Windows, iOS, or Android.
