WordPress website update: elevating functionality and user experience

A large Ukrainian corporation that entered the European market, acquired a factory and a brand. In this regard, they urgently needed to update the site so as not to delay other commercial processes and plans. Our client assigned us the tasks of redesigning Main, Location, Contact, and Thank You pages while also integrating multilingual functionality by adding English and German, with English as the primary language.

How we achieved our goals

  • Installed the WPML plugin. It allowed us to make the site multilingual.
  • Set up the WPML plugin. Customization is necessary because each language has a different word’s number and length.
  • Individual design of each page.

The developers have implemented the main screen of the site in the form of a banner. Visually, it is divided into 2 parts — the text is displayed on the left, and the picture on the right.

We took into account the adaptability of the page, on the mobile screen it looks like this:

About the products section features:

  • There are two types of product icons — 2 large and 6 small. Both types are in a row. The big ones are under the small ones.
  • Editing links, images, and text are available via the admin panel.

Let’s take a look at the functions of the Contact form:

  • We have provided two forms for men and women. The user can change it with the MR/MRS tab.
  • There is a mandatory check-box. If one of the form fields is empty, it is highlighted with a red square.
  • When the user submits the form, he is redirected to the Thank you page.

Next, we want to talk about the implemented features on the Location page:

  • Editing headings, subheadings, images (map) is available via the admin panel.
  • When the user clicks on the mail, the default mail service of the operating system opens.

The peculiarity of this project is that the site was created and used earlier. The goal was not to create a site from scratch, but to update the functionality, supplement it, and work with hosting. After all the work done, we taught the customer how to use the admin panel and the site as a whole. We still provide technical support to the client.
