WooCommerce speed test

See how fast your store answers real shoppers — not just the cached homepage. We open your homepage from cache and with the cache bypassed, then a product, a category and the cart, and read what the pages load.

Ordinary page requests, like any visitor. Nothing on your store is changed. Takes 10–20 seconds.

What a snapshot can’t see — the full check can

  • Your store at 3× and 5× traffic. A real load test, not one visit.
  • Checkout under load. Cart, coupons, shipping rules and every payment gateway.
  • Hosting limits. PHP workers, database, cache hit rate, rate limits.
  • Background jobs. Stock sync, emails and scheduled actions that pile up at peak.

Example result

  • Server response0.08 sFast for a normal visit
  • With the cache bypassed1.92 sEvery cart and checkout visit waits for PHP — this is what melts at peak
  • Cart page1.61 sThe cart is never cached — this is where the peak hits first
  • Cart fragments1.24 sRuns on every page view and is never cached — doubles PHP work at peak
  • CDNCloudflareStatic files are served close to shoppers

What the test measures

A fast homepage is not a fast store.

Caches make the first page look quick. Shoppers who add to the cart, log in or filter a category get pages built by PHP — and that is where a store slows down at peak.

Server response

How fast the homepage comes back for a normal visit. It usually comes from a page cache, so it looks good even on a weak server.

With the cache bypassed

The same page built by PHP from scratch — what shoppers with something in the cart, logged-in customers and bots get. This number grows first when traffic multiplies.

Product, category and cart

Opened without cache. The cart and checkout are never cached, so their speed depends only on your server, plugins and database.

Page cache, CDN, cart fragments

Whether the cache really served the page, whether files come from a CDN, and the mini-cart request WooCommerce runs on every page view without cache.

Page weight, scripts, trackers

Heavy HTML, dozens of scripts and third-party widgets slow phones down even when the server is fast.

PHP, theme, plugins, hosting

What the server and the page reveal: an old PHP version, a heavy theme, plugins that add work to every page built without cache.

Red lines before a big sale?

We find out what breaks first — and fix it.

The readiness check load-tests a staging copy of your store at 3× and 5× traffic, walks through checkout and payments, and gives you a written fix list in 48 hours. $490, refunded if we find nothing worth fixing.

About the test

Straight answers.

Is it safe to run on my store?
Yes. The test makes a few ordinary requests, like one visitor opening a few pages. It doesn’t log in, add anything to the cart or change anything on your store.
How is it different from PageSpeed Insights?
PageSpeed measures how a page renders in a browser, usually a cached one. This test measures how fast your server builds the pages it can’t cache — cart, product and category pages for shoppers with a cart. That is what breaks under peak traffic.
Why is the first number fast and the rest slow?
A page cache hides a slow backend for simple visits. As soon as a shopper adds something to the cart, pages come from PHP again — at the speed of the other numbers.
Can I share the result?
Yes. Every result has a link that works for 30 days: send it to your developer or your host. You can also get it by email.
Does it work for any WordPress site?
The server numbers do. Product, category, cart and cart fragments appear only for WooCommerce stores.
