One Black Friday, about 15% of orders lost to a slow checkout.

A nail polish retailer moved from Magento to WooCommerce. On the next Black Friday the checkout slowed down under load and roughly 15% of orders never went through. Peak email campaigns had to be split into batches, and the team was about to pay for a Kubernetes rebuild.

We spent a week on the audit and a couple of days on fixes: a dedicated, indexed orders table instead of wp_posts and wp_postmeta, and a broken plugin that disabled caching for every shopper with something in the cart. Pages started loading in 0.5–0.6 seconds, and the Kubernetes rebuild was no longer needed.

    Will you load-test our live store?
    No. We test a staging copy. If a test against production infrastructure is needed, we agree it with you and your host first.
    Our store is on managed hosting. Is that a problem?
    No — we work with any host. Sometimes the right fix is a hosting setting or a bigger plan; we tell you exactly what to ask your host for.
    What if the check finds nothing serious?
    Then we refund the $490 — and you still go into Black Friday with a green light and a written report of what we tested.
    Is it too late to start?
    Fixes need time to settle before the 20 November code freeze. The earlier you book, the more we can fix safely. After the freeze we focus on monitoring and peak cover.
    Why is the check only $490?
    Because the scope is fixed and the groundwork is ready: load scenarios, checkout scripts and the report format. We earn on fixes and long-term work, not on the check — and if you go on to a fix sprint, the $490 is credited.
    Can you test orders and integrations without touching production?
    Yes. We work on a staging copy and point integrations to their sandbox or test endpoints where they exist. Where they don’t, we replay realistic order volumes on the copy — and agree any test against production systems with you and your host first.
    Do you only work with WooCommerce?
    Yes — WooCommerce and WordPress are our specialty. That is why we can read a slow query or a checkout bug quickly.
